The last of the Apollo AM/SSB radios. The 801 for the technically minded, was one of the last PLL02A chassis radios to be sold in Australia. A new styled front panel not seen on any other radio of the time, it also had the unique green channel display and a channel 9 emergency switch. Hard to say how well they performed as there was not all that many about. Sold through the Mathew Haritos Group. If you look closely at this particular radio, you will see that CLARIFIER control labelling is incorrectly spelt ( CLALIFIER ). |
