An early PLL radio, the CHIBA 69A was heavily advertised in CB magazines of the time. The radio's internals were almost identical to the Royce 1-632 AM/SSB mobile. They could be modified for extra channels, but their fragile PLL circuitry would lay these units to rest quite easily. If purchasing one of these radios make sure it works before handing over your hard earned cash.
