Originally approved for marine use, this 5 watt walkie talkie had many features. Three function meter and many input/output connections. This would increase the range and reliability of the radio by being able to hook it up to a large antenna and permanent power source in your boat. That was probably the biggest problem, the life of the "AA" batteries of which it would need nearly a dozen to run. |
