An AM/SSB mobile with a difference, it could also be used as a base radio (like most) but there was no need to add a mains power supply. It had one built-in, though it was a 110 volt ac version. Some who were able, may have changed the internal transformer for an Australian 240 type. Oh, it could also run on 12 volts dc for car use. Performance wise, the same as the 13-893 AM/SSB radio from Midland which was good for the period. |
