A unique radio that shares it electronics with only one other Australian radio. A lot of brands although they look different, share the same basic electronics with added features to suit the model. With the Tasc TM 3100 it's a rare radio. There is only one other AM/SSB radio sold in Australia that shares the same chassis(XTAL XSSB-18 PYTHON). With this in mind it makes it quite unique. It still shares individual parts with other radios (so repairs can be performed) but a totally different radio in design. Another rare feature is the PLL status indicator on the front panel. A large unit not seen very much these days. |
