The TMC 214 was a 13 transistor all steel walkie talkie. A product of Strato Communications in Sydney. Supplied with a tough leather case, it had the added features of ANL and GAIN controls. In addition you could plug in an external 12 volt source, earpiece, microphone and antenna for home or car use. Also a battery indicator to check on those eight AA batteries.
