Tauted as small in size and big on performance, the Xtal XSSB10 was not a technicians delight. When it came to repairing, to get the radio down to the size it was, everything inside was crammed together. What it did show was, technology had not come far enough to reliably make a small AM/SSB mobile radio, even though, that time would come.
