Apollo's first UHF radio, the AP400 was a large well built unit compared to others of the time. If you had to choose between the Philips FM320 the Sawtron 880 or the AP400, you would have to pick the Apollo everytime for it's build quality, you could tell they knew how to build a radio. For a first up UHF, the AP400 was a good start.The next model the AP400 R (pictured), almost identical had repeater function fitted and a rear connector fitted for a selcal option.. |
