Electrophone's first AM/SSB radio, with almost all the options a radio of this type could have. Sold in great numbers and very popular with the home experimenters, these radios are quite reliable if not tinkered with. The only problem they do have is a part called the VCO, which tended to fail from time to time. If collecting, make sure you purchase the original Electrophone microphone with the radio as it has a unique shape. |
